International Outreach:
Professional level 3D printing workshop
Selected students from CUZ (Communication University of Zhejiang) enjoyed a professional 3d printing workshop given by Bernard Guy and Ross Stevens. They were using the latest Stratasys J750 printer to create pendants and bracelets.
The two-day workshop was a fun way of engaging with the latest in 3 & 4D printing technology at Victoria University of Wellington, NZ.

With a sense of honour and pleasure we’d like to share the news that Lionel Taito-Matamua, an ex-student who created incredible work as part of the MADE research group, has been appointed Pasifika Engagement Adviser at Victoria University in Wellington.
Having studied and graduated at VUW, Lionel knows the ins and outs of the academic environment and is highly attuned to the needs of Pasifika students in this exciting and challenging environment.
We believe, Lionel will not only help current and future students, but help create a new understanding of higher learning for them and inspire them to create positive changes for the future.

Ross Stevens recently had the opportunity to visit the Bejing Film Academy (BFA, ranked #1 in China), Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA, ranked #3 in China) and the Communication University of Zhejiang (CUZ, ranked #9).
On top of that he was able to connect with staff at the Shanghai office of Stratasys and meet design staff at BMW Design Works (arranged by ex-VUW student Nils Uellendahl).
In these meetings he presented recent research done at MADE by Tor Robinson, Nicole Hone and Ana Morris.
